The Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Registered Apprenticeship Collaborative is a network of leaders in higher education, business, community and the Office of Apprenticeship working together to increase information sharing, collaboration and partnership building across the HBCU network. The collaborative provides a platform for HBCU leaders to explore the value, benefits and success of engaging with Registered Apprenticeship. The Collaborative will be led by the Office of Apprenticeship and will hold at least four convenings a year. For more information on the collaborative check out our factsheet. Jobs for the Future Registered Apprenticeship Center of Excellence Technical Assistance Center
Jobs for the Future provides strategies and customized support to employers, education providers, intermediaries, and government entities to drive diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) in Registered Apprenticeships. This RA TA Center aims to:
▶ Assist employers in building capacity for inclusive Registered Apprenticeship while increasing employers’ accountability for DEIA.
▶ Pursue integrated strategies for building the capacity of educational institutions and other stakeholders serving underrepresented populations to engage with the Registered Apprenticeship system
▶ Facilitate partnerships among stakeholders and increase knowledge on equal employment opportunity (EEO) regulations and best practices.
▶ Improve demand for diverse talent recruiting, retaining, and advancing underrepresented populations.
▶ Develop and disseminate written resources, to include the cultivation of an online community for sharing resources and the delivery of web-based training and virtual events
