Frequently Asked Questions

How should complaints of discrimination be filed?

Equal Employment Opportunity

For programs registered with the Office of Apprenticeship (OA), complaints are to be electronically filed with OA at ApprenticeshipEEOcomplaints@dol.gov.  You may also mail the complaint to the U.S. Department of Labor, as follows:  U.S. Department of Labor, Attention:  Apprenticeship EEO Complaints, Office of Apprenticeship, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C., 20210. Due to COVID-19, you are encouraged to email the complaint to ApprenticeshipEEOcomplaints@dol.govensure timely receipt of the complaint.

If a complaint involves discrimination, OA will generally refer the complaint to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to be addressed.  Apprentice complaints against a program registered with a State Apprenticeship Agency should be filed with that state agency.  Details regarding the process are available on the Inform Apprentices Equal Employment Opportunity webpage.
