Event Description

Join us at noon on June 26th for an inside view of the incredible journey of a Northern Virginia Entrepreneur whose passion for
increasing diversity in cybersecurity is connecting underrepresented communities to life-changing tech careers. During an exclusive live interview, Quiana Gainey, founder of SecureTech360 and non-profit, MySecureKid, will share highlights of her 20-year history in tech, how she created her small business, why she founded MySecureKid, and describe their many community programs such as Cyber Camps for
kids age 15-16, and a high school youth cybersecurity apprenticeship program.

MySecureKid is a non-profit based in Arlington, Virginia committed to closing the demand gap for cybersecurity and IT professionals. They are diversifying the industry and economically empowering underrepresented communities by creating clear career pathways into cybersecurity and IT through education, scholarships, hands-on training, and strategic partnerships. Appteon, Inc. is proud to partner with MySecureKid in their work in Registered Apprenticeship advocating for diversity, equity and inclusion. Check out their website to learn more: https://mysecurekid.org/

Don’t miss this opportunity to ask questions of the self-proclaimed “cybersecurity apostle” with over 20 years of IT/Cyber experience.

Do you have questions for Quiana or questions about Registered Apprenticeship? Feel free to share them with apprenticeship@appteon.com to be addressed during the interview!
