This module serves to help provide incoming apprentices with an understanding of what to expect as you embark on your apprenticeship journey, as well as a brief overview of some of the benefits and advantages of participating in a Registered Apprenticeship program.

This module will provide the regulatory basis and highlight the benefits of GI Bill approval for Sponsors in Registered Apprenticeship. You will learn about the streamlined approval process between the Department of Labor and the Department of Veterans Affairs and learn how to utilize GI Bill Benefits as a recruitment tool for veterans.

This module will provide the regulatory basis for GI Bill benefits in Registered Apprenticeship.  You will also learn about the dollar amount of GI Bill benefits available in Registered Apprenticeship programs, and how to identify programs that have been approved for GI Bill benefits. This rapid learning video includes four tips apprentices can use to network during their apprenticeship programs. Apprentices can also download a resource document that includes the tips and view a descriptive transcript for the video.
 

This module identifies and defines the three training approaches to Registered Apprenticeships and elaborates on how occupations and time frames are selected for registered apprenticeships. It also explores examples of Registered Apprenticeship programs and the impacts on business.

This module offers an overview for SAAs regarding their responsibilities in ensuring reciprocity for apprentices, apprenticeship programs, and standards registered in other states by the OA or a Registration Agency. The presentation provides background information on the concept of reciprocity, details on its implementation through a "petition for reciprocity," and illustrates how reciprocity operates within the Louisiana (LA) SAA, as an example. Learn how a sponsor would utilize RAPIDS to register an apprentice.  This module provides the sponsor with an overview of RAPIDS. This module covers the labor standards for the registration of apprenticeship programs as outlined in 29 C.F.R. Part 29.5. It explains the Apprenticeship Standards outlined in the federal regulations and identifies resources that are available to help develop Registered Apprenticeship Standards.

This module provides strategies for success for Apprentices beginning their Registered Apprenticeship. Topics include being your personal best, working as a team player, and representing your company as a champion.
