Loring Job Corps Center, located in northern Maine, offers several trades with a certified pre-apprentice pathway. Collaborating with the National Training Contractors (IUPAT, UBC, OPCMIA, and HBI) on Center, we will offer a career fair-type of event. Trades represented with booths and information on pre-apprenticeships & the pathway to registered apprenticeship will be Painting, Electrical, Masonry, and Carpentry. Additionally, students will explore Apprenticeship opportunities in trades such as heavy truck driving, information technology, and culinary. By inviting local businesses to the campus, we will expand our Industry Council and Work-Based Learning connections in addition to sharing Aroostook and State of Maine employers with our students.
