Pre-Apprenticeship Announcement

The development of a pre-apprenticeship program that would lead directly into a Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) for two culturally significant occupations — Traditional Canoe Sailor/Seafarer and Traditional Canoe Fabricator. Given the unique cultural significance of these occupations, this initiative also presents an opportunity to blend traditional knowledge and modern workforce development practices — preserving heritage while creating new career pathways for our community.
