Event Description

NYC is gearing up to launch the first ever Community Health Worker apprenticeship with a special focus on Behavioral Health. Apprentices will complete credit-bearing classes with CUNY and gain on-the-job training with non-profits providing health and mental health services. To become an employer partner and hire apprentices for the 2025 cycle, join an info session on Nov 19th or Dec 3rd. This is an excellent opportunity for New York City organizations interested in hiring or expanding their staff to include community health workers and similar positions (community advocates, community educators, outreach workers, and others) in behavioral health settings or other community settings. Info sessions will highlight the unique benefits of Registered Apprenticeships Programs, including available funding opportunities, how to get started, and the ROI for participating organizations. Interested nonprofits can register to attend an employer partner info session at bit.ly/bhchw.
