The introduction of German-style apprenticeships to Nebraska is an effective new initiative to help meet industry’s need for skilled workers. CLAAS of America and Graepel North America offer three-year apprenticeship programs to youths who work and earn on the job while also receiving training through Metropolitan Community College. Other companies in Nebraska are considering joining this initiative as its great potential for boosting the state’s economy.
