The LWIA 23 Business Services Team hosted an inaugural Winning Workforce Solutions Summit for business representatives, workforce development stakeholders, and community leaders. Employers from all sectors converged to explore innovative resources and tools to transform their workforce strategies by discovering new solutions to revolutionize how to hire and retain their invaluable workforce (like apprenticeship programs!). Featured special guests, including Bonnie Moore from Lake Land College, Josh Doerner from New York University, DuWayne Owens from the Illinois Department of Corrections, and James Ginder from the Illinois Department of Employment Security to discuss hot topics in the workforce today.
