National Apprenticeship Week- Expanding Career Opportunities and Student Success

The Mayor’s Office of Talent and Workforce Development, in partnership with the NYS Educator Workforce Development HUB, United Federation of Teachers (UFT), NYS Department of Labor (NYSDOL), CUNY, and NYC Public Schools, invites stakeholders to a pivotal event on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 1 Liberty Place. This event, held during National Apprenticeship Week, marks the beginning of a united effort to build NYC’s future teacher workforce by expanding education apprenticeships and developing sustainable career pathways. Together, our goal is to establish a collaborative, community-centered approach that addresses the city’s urgent teacher needs, builds resilient talent pipelines, and lays a sustainable foundation for future educators
