MC3 Apprenticeship Readiness Press Conference

In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, CCRI, in partnership with Building Futures, is hosting a press conference with Governor Dan McKee, Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi, and labor leaders to announce the launch of a new apprenticeship readiness program for recent high school graduates. With the support of a $250,000 workforce investment from RIDLT, the college will begin offering apprenticeship readiness training in January through the Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3), a comprehensive apprenticeship readiness curriculum developed by North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) and Trades Futures that delivers an industry-recognized credential. The 120-hour program aims to increase the number of candidates for registered apprenticeship, particularly among women, veterans, and communities of color, across all trades.
