Event Description

In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, CCRI, in partnership with Building Futures, is hosting a press conference with Governor Dan McKee, Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi, and labor leaders to announce the launch of a new apprenticeship readiness program for recent high school graduates. With the support of a $250,000 workforce investment from RIDLT, the college will begin offering apprenticeship readiness training in January through the Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3), a comprehensive apprenticeship readiness curriculum developed by North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) and Trades Futures that delivers an industry-recognized credential. The 120-hour program aims to increase the number of candidates for registered apprenticeship, particularly among women, veterans, and communities of color, across all trades. MC3 participants explore construction careers that start with registered apprenticeship, across all the different trades from plumbing and electrical to sheet meta
