Event Description

In honor of National Apprenticeship Day, the Hospitality Training Academy, Los Angeles County Department of Economic Opportunity and LA County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell hosted a special event to celebrate the newest class of HTA Line Cook Registered Apprentices and the transformational power of Registered Apprenticeships and well-crafted training programs to provide economic opportunities for underserved communities and build our hospitality workforce. 20 graduates of the HTA Line Cook Registered Apprenticeship program received well-deserved recognition as fully certified Line Cook Apprentices, after completing 2,000 hours of on-the-job training. Family and friends of the graduates joined the festive gathering, as well as valued employer partners from USC, CREWS of California at LAX, HMS Host, The Sheraton Grand Hotel and Concord Collective.
