Event Description

After two years of classroom and on-the-job training, five BAE Systems employees graduated as the first Department of Labor Registered Precision Quality Inspectors in the U.S. and were recognized at a ceremony and dinner event held September 21. On hand to celebrate the occasion were Brian Svoboda, BAE Systems Electronic Systems Sector Quality Vice President, Ken Merrifield, NH Commissioner of Labor, and Lucille Jordan, NCC President. Each graduate brought family and a number of other BAE Systems employees attended. During his remarks, Merrifield cited “Registered apprenticeship programs are an excellent way to enhance our workforce and the labor department is a strategic partner for industries seeking to leverage this tool. I am pleased to see the recent increase in utilization of this approach thanks in large thanks in large part to growing needs in advanced manufacturing jobs at companies like BAE Systems."
