Apprenticeship Week: Connecting with Industry 2025

Arecibo Job Corps Center will successfully hold the 2025 Apprenticeship Fair on May 6, aimed at students of the Electrical and Facilities Maintenance programs. The event will bring together industry leaders, prominent alumni and collaborating entities with the objective of offering career guidance. Lindsey Petteplace, from LUMA Apprenticeships, will present training opportunities in the energy industry, while Henry Mendoza, alumnus and current LUMA employee, will share his success story to inspire students. In addition, the agency Atrévete Hazlo will offer a hands-on workshop on slab installation, highlighting labor demand and wage competitiveness in the construction industry.
