Event Description

On November 14, 2023, 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds will be co-hosting a graduation event in the Bronx, New York. This collaborative event is a result of having completed two successful CNA apprenticeship cohorts in collaboration with The Plaza Rehab & Nursing Center, 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, and Consortium for Worker Education (CWE). Fourteen CNAs who graduated from the registered apprenticeship program will attend the event along with their families at The Plaza and receive recognition from their employer (The Plaza), Labor and Management as well as CWE. During the event, newly upgraded CNAs and LPNs from The Plaza will also be recognized for their academic achievements. The in-person event will be recorded and shared afterwards on the Apprenticeship USA website.
