WORKCON 2026

WORKCON 2026, Tuesday, April 28 - Thursday, April 30, hosted and designed by the California Workforce Association (CWA), will spotlight forward-thinking strategies, intentional design, and modern solutions shaping the future of workforce development. Centered on this year’s theme, Innovation by Design: The Architecture of Opportunity, the conference will explore how workforce systems can be purposefully built to meet the evolving needs of workers, employers, and communities across California and the nation.

As CWA’s premier spring conference for workforce practitioners, WORKCON 2026 will convene Workforce Development Boards, Community-Based Organizations, educational institutions, WIOA partners, policymakers, and industry leaders who are committed to creating effective, equitable, and sustainable workforce solutions. The conference will focus on how thoughtful program design, data-informed decision-making, technology integration, and cross-sector collaboration can strengthen workforce systems in a rapidly changing economy.
