More than 100 Iowa school districts consider launching apprenticeship programs

While there are currently 14 registered apprenticeship programs that are run through Iowa school districts, there are many more considering designing pre-apprenticeship, registered apprenticeship, and other work-based learning programs. Whether it’s computer science, engineering, welding, or firefighting professions, students have opportunities to gain skills, mentorship, hands-on learning experiences, and exposure to a wide range of professional fields through apprenticeship.
