The Ironworkers Local 25 National Apprenticeship Week High School Welding Invitational is Michigan's premier high school welding competition. This exciting event features 15 high schools and 400 talented high school students, showcasing their skills in Shielded Metal Arc welding across four positions. As the top high school welding competition in the state, it highlights the numerous career opportunities available in the Union Ironworking Industry. The event promotes registered apprenticeship opportunities, providing a pathway to a successful career in ironworking. The public is welcome to visit the training center throughout the week to witness the competition and learn more about the industry's offerings.
