Local woman wins national award for adult learners

Tara Turley, an electrician working on renovating Building 3 at the West Virginia Capitol Complex in Charleston, has won a national award from the American Council of Education for adult students who use apprenticeship programs to earn college credits. Turley earned an associate’s degree from BridgeValley Community and Technical College, and is three credits shy of another degree.
