    Students will participate in guided tours of the Penske and Hudson Nissan facilities to gain firsthand exposure to a professional automotive and diesel shop environment. During these visits, students will have the opportunity to engage with former YTTW apprentices, skilled technicians, and company representatives by asking questions about specific roles, daily responsibilities, and career pathways within the industry.     Our Multi-State Navigator developed a really neat 15x15 crossword focused on Registered Apprenticeship that we could use as a team building exercise. Our event is the culmination and review of the answers over a 90 minute web meeting.

    The Mobile Field Trip is a FREE experience that brings a 44-foot trailer right to your school so students have the opportunity to see what a career as a carpenter or millwright could look like. This is done as students cycle through our many stations which span from trivia games and hands-on tool use to augmented reality glasses in smaller groups.

    Dan and Lori Shows of Shows Coaching led in-depth leadership and employability development for 26 apprenticeship recruits. St. Charles Public School apprenticeship coaches assisted in purposeful application of their assessments, practical skill development, and engaged in mock-interviews. Many community partners joined in assisting with interviews.
