Students will participate in guided tours of the Penske and Hudson Nissan facilities to gain firsthand exposure to a professional automotive and diesel shop environment. During these visits, students will have the opportunity to engage with former YTTW apprentices, skilled technicians, and company representatives by asking questions about specific roles, daily responsibilities, and career pathways within the industry. Dan and Lori Shows of Shows Coaching led in-depth leadership and employability development for 26 apprenticeship recruits. St. Charles Public School apprenticeship coaches assisted in purposeful application of their assessments, practical skill development, and engaged in mock-interviews. Many community partners joined in assisting with interviews.
