    Students will participate in guided tours of the Penske and Hudson Nissan facilities to gain firsthand exposure to a professional automotive and diesel shop environment. During these visits, students will have the opportunity to engage with former YTTW apprentices, skilled technicians, and company representatives by asking questions about specific roles, daily responsibilities, and career pathways within the industry.     Our Multi-State Navigator developed a really neat 15x15 crossword focused on Registered Apprenticeship that we could use as a team building exercise. Our event is the culmination and review of the answers over a 90 minute web meeting.

    In it's 7th year, this event is open to 9th grade students from our 22 area schools. Typically between 1300 and 1500 students and over 75 employers attend this event. This year we have 81 employers and training providers registered to date. Employers highlight their occupations with hands-on activites. Over 20 employers will provide apprenticeship opportunities.

    DV Job Corps Center will be hosting a Senior Day and Career Fair. Local high school seniors from the Hudson Valley will be invited to tour the center and learn about the career technical trades we offer. They will also have the opportunity to participate in our career fair alongside current center students. This event will give seniors a chance to explore what Job Corps has to offer as an additional option after graduation.
