    LUMA College will host a National Apprenticeship Week 2026 Signing Ceremony to formally reaffirm its commitment to U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship programs. The event will bring together apprentices, educators, and industry partners, including LUMA Energy, to recognize the impact of apprenticeship as a proven workforce development strategy. The program will include leadership remarks, an official proclamation signing, apprentice recognition, and will conclude with a networking lunch.

    Plumbing students visited Local 5 for an engaging tour and introduction to the apprenticeship program. They explored the training facilities, learned about the skills and standards expected in the trade, and met with instructors who shared insights into career pathways and union opportunities. The visit gave students a firsthand look at the professional environment and the support available to future apprentices.
