Multi-Trades Pre-Apprenticeship

The Maine AFL-CIO Union Construction Academy multi-trades pre-apprenticeship (April 6–April 30, 2026) is a four-week, hands-on training program designed to prepare individuals for entry into union construction apprenticeships. Participants gain exposure to multiple trades, earn industry-recognized certifications such as OSHA-10 and First Aid/CPR, and develop foundational skills through both classroom instruction and real-world training. The program also provides career readiness support and direct connections to Maine’s Building and Construction Trades unions, creating a clear pathway into “earn-while-you-learn” registered apprenticeship opportunities.
