Event Description

Hosted by the Maryland Governor's Workforce Development Board and the Annie E. Casey Foundation, this event will bring together Maryland business leaders, policymakers and community-based organizations to discuss innovative strategies for engaging and empowering rising talent to build a vibrant local economy.


The summit will feature panel discussions and invaluable networking opportunities with fellow leaders. Lydia Logan, Vice President of Global Education and Workforce Development at IBM, is the keynote speaker. Additional speakers include business leaders and young workers from BGE, CVS, University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Phoenix Mecano and local Maryland businesses who will share their experiences, ideas and best practices.

The event will focus on:


  • The Impact of Youth Employment: Understanding how engaging young talent benefits businesses and communities.
  • Success Stories and Best Practices: Learning from case studies and successful youth employment initiatives.
  • Future Opportunities: Identifying and developing pathways for young people to enter and thrive in Maryland’s job market.
