Event Description

Anchorage, AK — In celebration of the 10th annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW), students from the Don Young Alaska Job Corps' Electrical and Building Construction Trades (BCT) classes will participate in an exciting networking event with Anchorage contractors. This opportunity will highlight apprenticeship pathways and foster industry connections crucial for Alaska's future workforce. When: November 19, 2024 Where: ABC Apprenticeship Office (301 Arctic Slope Ave., Suite 100) from 10:30–11:00 a.m., followed by a session with contractors at the AHBA office (same address, Suite 102) from 12:00–1:00 p.m. The event will give Job Corps students first-hand exposure to apprenticeship programs through the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) network and will introduce them to various Anchorage-based contractors. This assembly aligns with NAW's mission to celebrate and promote the value of apprenticeships and work-based learning across the U.S.
