DOL announced the availability of $95 million for a second round of ABA funding. This new round of ABA grants will continue to expand, diversify, and strengthen the Registered Apprenticeship (RA) system through support for public/private partnerships designed to serve a range of industries and individuals and promote Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) as a workforce development solution that translates training into good jobs.
Applicants can apply for ABA2 grant funding under 3 categories:
- Category 1: Ensuring Equitable RAP Pathways and Partnerships Through Pre-apprenticeship Leading to RAP Enrollment
- Category 2: Creation of Education System-aligned Pre-apprenticeship Programs and RAPs; and
- Category 3: Registered Apprenticeship Hubs.
