Ashlynn McShane, a first-year electrical apprentice based in Boise, Idaho, began her journey with BODEC’s Registered Apprenticeship Program in September 2024. She joined the program to build a stable career in the electrical field and support her family financially. Since starting, she’s already reached personal goals—like paying off her vehicle—and has gained a deeper understanding of how electricity works. Ashlynn values the program’s national recognition and the doors it opens across all 50 states. She encourages others to take the program seriously, emphasizing that it’s just as demanding and rewarding as college. For Ashlynn, the apprenticeship has brought not only technical growth and new knowledge, but also stronger financial habits and a brighter outlook on the future.
