NAW Week Enrollment, Recruitment, and Signing Celebration @ Western High School

Big Lock and Key will be at Western High School during National Apprenticeship Week, coordinated by the U.S. Department of Labor and supported by the Florida Department of Education. As part of the theme, America at Work: Making America Skilled Again through Registered Apprenticeship, we are launching our locksmith apprenticeship program. Students will participate in hands-on lock hardware demonstrations, lock-picking challenges, music, and prizes. Special guest Dale Towery Jr., Program Specialist IV with the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs, will attend representing the State Approving Agency for Veterans Education and Training. The event will conclude with a ribbon-cutting for a nationally recognized credential in Broward County. This debt-free, paid training program provides tools, structured learning, and a clear pathway into a growing trade.
