3rd Transatlantic Webinar - Apprenticeship - Our Way

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW, April 26–May 2, 2026) is celebrated nationwide in the United States. An in-creasing number of employers and educational institutions at all levels across the U.S. are getting involved and investing in hands-on training. Over the past 10 years, the number of apprenticeship positions has risen by 80%. Currently, around 700,000 future skilled workers are completing training programs ranging from manufacturing and artificial intelligence to healthcare and teacher training. The government is investing nearly $200 million in high-priority sectors. Manufacturers receive up to $3,500 for each new apprenticeship position. In Germany, viewed from a national perspective, the apprenticeship market remains a major challenge. On the one hand, de-spite demographic shifts, the number of apprenticeship positions is declining; on the other hand, over 84,000 young people cannot find an apprenticeship. This webinar focuses on those who have successfully found their career path in both countries through vocational training. What can we learn from these stories?
