RYA on the Road!

We’re taking our CTE/RYA meeting on the road. Join us at St. Louis Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing Center at the Florissant Valley campus for a closer look at how the college delivers high-quality related technical instruction (RTI) that supports Registered Youth Apprenticeships and other work-based learning programs. During our visit, we’ll tour the facility and learn how STLCC provides industry-aligned instruction that complements the on-the-job learning happening at employer worksites. Across our region, RTI is delivered through strong partnerships with technical schools, comprehensive high schools, career centers and other training providers. STLCC represents another valuable option districts and employers can leverage depending on program structure and student needs. For many programs, access to strong RTI is what allows apprenticeships to move from concept to reality—ensuring students gain the technical knowledge that supports the skills they develop on the job.
