Bus Maintenance Apprenticeship Webinar

Join TWC for the next American Transit Training and Apprenticeship Innovators Network (ATTAIN) webinar on March 26 at 12:00 pm ET. ATTAIN is a peer network created for transit workforce partners to explore new apprenticeship programs or enhance existing programs for their frontline workforce.

This webinar will begin with a presentation outlining the process of starting a bus maintenance apprenticeship program, the resources available to employers and their partners, and the benefits that apprenticeship offers. Panelists from Miami-Dade Transit/TWU Local 291 (FL) and High Valley Transit (UT) will both describe their recent success in getting a bus maintenance apprenticeship pgram started. These agencies will be able to offer unique perspectives and insights due to the relative size of their workforce and the different scales at which they operate.

This webinar will show examples of programs with both represented and non-represented workers. TWC team members will join in for a full panel discussion and an audience Q&A. The open discussion will encourage attendees to ask questions, discuss their progress toward starting an apprenticeship program, troubleshoot any challenges they’ve experienced, and share best practices with their peers.
