Peoria-area apprentices learn to prevent cyberattacks

Ask Cameron Privett or Branson Moreno what they think of recent cyberattacks at Bradley University, Morton's public school district, or other major organizations or companies.

"Job security," Moreno says. "I want to know how they did it and how I could’ve stopped it." As the first apprentices in the first program of its kind in the country, they're pioneers in a fast-growing, much-needed field, training to produce computer programs quickly with no errors or defects. Or, as the program’s name indicates, secure software.
