Teachers Up Apprenticeship partnership signing with Converse University

After three years of maturing partnership to hire education majors into the US DOL registered Teachers Up Apprenticeship after school yourh development employment, Converse University in Spartanburg, South Carolina is launching a deeper Internship initiative with Kids Upstate’s Teachers Up Apprenticeship. In addition to being employed in seven Kids Clubs/21st-century Community Learning Centers at $17/hour, education majors will now earn up to three course credit hours per semester over the year long internship experience. We welcome DOL Policy Advisor Maria Syms and Assistant Secretary Henry Mack to join us for this signing event. We feel this is a worthy milestone to gain this level of engagement between a education career apprenticeship and an education college. Up to 60 new education majors will enter the apprenticeship earning over $300,000 during a school year.
