Event Description

This interactive workshop examines how intentional design and regional collaboration can accelerate apprenticeship growth at scale. Drawing on the South Bay Workforce Investment Board's experience building non-traditional apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship models, participants will explore how the Southern California Apprenticeship Network (SCAN) was structured to align workforce boards, employers, education partners, and funders across industries. The session will highlight key drivers of successful alliances, employer-led sector partnerships, and strategies for accessing funding, developing training plans, and identifying industry demand. Attendees will leave with practical design principles they can adapt to strengthen apprenticeship ecosystems in their own regions.
