Event Description

Join CAPE-Youth for a webinar on supporting youth and young adult apprentices with disabilities.

Apprenticeships offer employers a direct pipeline to skilled, reliable talent while providing young people with disabilities valuable hands-on experience, industry-recognized credentials, and a pathway to long-term financial stability.

This session will highlight recommendations state policymakers and apprenticeship partners can implement to increase the number of apprentices with disabilities in apprenticeship programs and showcase two model programs that lead to high wages and full-time employment.

Speakers from the Arc Southwest Indiana, Toyota, and Virginia Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) will share their experiences.
