Event Description

Please join the Division of Indian and Native American Programs of the U.S. Department of Labor for this exciting one-hour webinar. The webinar takes place during National Apprenticeship Week on Underserved Populations Day! Moke Eaglefeathers of the Cement Masons Local 633 will discuss the Union’s tribal youth apprenticeship bootcamp. The team from Local 49 Operating Engineers will discuss the Union’s partnership with the Minnesota Department of Transportation to offer a tribal training program. Finally, we will hear from Rick Martagon who heads up the construction trades in Minnesota’s Building Strong Communities. This hands-on pre-apprenticeship approach has been successful in providing opportunities to diverse communities.
