Event Description

EHT High School students will explore careers in the skilled trades through live demonstrations and hands-on activities led by industry professionals and educators. Featured areas include construction, electrical, EMT, HVAC, manufacturing, plumbing, and welding. This event highlights Egg Harbor Township School District’s pre-apprenticeship programs, funded by the New Jersey Department of Labor. These programs provide high school seniors and out-of-school-youth with career exploration, industry training, and pathways to apprenticeships in high-demand fields such as: CDL Truck Driver Training, Electrical & HVAC, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Manufacturing, and Patient Care Technician. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to explore hands-on demonstrations featuring an Atlantic City Electric Utility Truck, NJ Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) Mobile Training Center Truck, and the NJ Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Task Force Truck.
