Dr. J. Heather Handler is the Program Coordinator for Career and Technical Education (CTE) in Cecil County Public Schools, where she champions workforce-ready learning. With over 17 years of experience across Florida, Delaware, and Maryland, she is a passionate leader in STEM education, shaping innovative middle and high school programs that prepare students for future careers. She expanded robotics initiatives, launched Cecil County’s Youth Apprenticeship Program, and helped to design and pilot Maryland’s first Summer Lineworker Program. Before entering education, Dr. Handler served as a U.S. Navy Search and Rescue Swimmer, specializing in Anti-Submarine Warfare—a testament to her resilience and strategic mindset.
