Event Description

At least 19 states are growing apprenticeships with state tax credits – but impact varies across the country, and designing and implementing these incentives effectively requires both rigorous evidence and practical, on-the-ground experience.

Join AFA for a timely discussion of the latest developments on apprenticeship tax credits. Hear from Daniel Kuehn of the Urban Institute on the latest research and evaluation on apprenticeship incentives, and join us for a panel of state leaders sharing lessons on what’s worked, and what’s been challenging, in implementing tax credits, including:

Amanda Richardson, Apprenticeship Carolina

Meredith Smith, Alabama Office of Apprenticeship

Tracey Brookover, Colorado Department of Labor & Employment

This session will highlight practical advice for policymakers, agency leaders, intermediaries, and advocates working to strengthen their local apprenticeship systems.
