Event Description

Partners in the Automotive, Computer Support, HVAC and Welding sectors are invited to a roundtable on the value of Registered Apprenticeship and how it can strengthen your workforce. Apprenticeship helps address skilled labor shortages by building a reliable talent pipeline and improving retention through structured, paid training. Attend to learn how programs can be tailored to your roles, hear from employers who have implemented apprenticeship, and discuss resources that may help offset training costs. Who should attend: owners/operations leaders (to evaluate ROI and staffing impact), HR/recruiters (to align hiring and career pathways), and supervisors/lead techs (to shape on-the-job training and mentoring). Sponsored by SUNY Apprenticeship Programs, NYS Department of Labor, Center for Economic Growth, Capital Region Workforce Development Board, and Hudson Valley Community College.
