Who is responsible for helping to create IRAPs?

Industry Recognized Apprenticeship Program

SREs are responsible for setting competency-based standards, for the training, structure, and curricula for apprenticeship programs in the industry(ies) or occupational area(s) for which they have been approved to recognize IRAPs. Once those standards are in place, SRE’s are responsible for assisting prospective IRAP sponsors with the development of their programs based on their requirements and standards.
